On March 8, the entrance ceremony and orientation for the 2010 KMU-Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) 1+3.5 joint degree program were held in Room 328 of the Center for International Education at 3 p.m.

This ceremony had two parts. Part one consisted of the opening address, a welcoming speech, an introducing of faculty, a closing address, and taking a group photo. Part two consisted of introducing the KMU-BLCU program and campus facilities.

The KMU-BLCU 1+3.5 program has been running since 2007. Students have to complete a year at Keimyung University. Then, they have to complete an intensive language training course for six months at BLCU. After that, they enter BLCU as sophomores.

Freshmen in the KMU-BLCU 1+3.5 program earn 25 credits each semester in courses such as Chinese listening, reading, grammar, and speaking, and understanding Chinese culture.
