On December 11, Kim Min-ju, a senior in the Department of Visual Communication Design in the College of Media Arts, won a gold prize and received 2,000,000 won prize money. She exhibited het storybook titled, Awaken the Giant within, in the 28th Daegu Design Exhibition held at Daegu Gyeongbuk Design Center.

Kim's storybook was highly regarded for its visual illustrating technique based on outstanding ideas and creativity in its content. Kim's book indirectly recognizes potential abilities in children by way of interpreting their dreams, and the book was made to improve their imagination through adventure stories about one boy.

Kim said, “The story book could be made by getting funny motivating ideas through direct interviews with children aged from 4 to 7, and I want to publish these kinds of story books which can be helpful to improve children’s potential abilities.” Besides her victory, ten other Keimyung students were granted prizes in the contest.
