The publicity activities of university student marketers have drawn public attention in Daegu. The university marketers held special events on campus like promoting the use of cash receipts. Cash receipt is a system operated by the National Tax Service. In the year-end tax adjustment, families can get a deduction from the cash receipts. The team “Fighting My Daddy,” which consisted of Keimyung students Kim Dong-kyung (junior, Dept. of Business Administration), Kim Do-yun (senior, Dept. of Business Administration), Lee Kyung-Hae (senior, Dept. of Business Administration), and Yun Ji-Hye (senior, Dept. of Tourism Management), was selected as guest marketers out of 1832 applicants.
Last May, the team led publicity activities to encourage people to use cash receipts more frequently. They also planned various creative promotional activities like a cash receipt marathon and visiting high schools to publicize the cash receipt system to students and drew much attention.
Team leader Kim Dong-Kyung said, “I was astonished to find that many university students had a wrong idea regarding tax payment, which made our team carry out our important duties to help them have right tax payment consciousness. We will keep doing our best in publicizing the cash receipt system so that they can benefit from it.”
