From February 18 to 22, the 2009 Berlin International Dance Festival, TANZOLYMP was held at the House of Berliner Festspiele for five days with 600 dancers from about 25 countries.

Keimyung University students, Kwon ki-han (22) and Jang gi-yun (19), from the College of Music and Performing Arts, won silver medals in the field of modern dance.

The prize-winning performance 'Business' was a dance involving two students portraying the daily work of busy employees. The performance was highly valued for its rough expression of masculine energy and dynamic movement.

In the International Dance Festival, 25 professional dance universities and 600 professional dancers participated. Keimyung University was awarded prizes in the field of modern dance and Korean National University of Arts was successful in ballet.
