At the end of February, Kim Byoung-gon, a student in the Department of Automotive Engineering, received the first prize in the research study of CATIA (Computer Aided Three Dimensional Interactive Applications). 150 Hyundai-Kia Automotive research students from seven universities, including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and Korea University, participated.
In the final evaluation, Kim Byoung-gon gained the highest marks in his practical task, written examination, and sincere learning attitude.
Kim said, “This result originates from the confidence which I have come to have since I started to prepare for the CATIA program in my freshmen year. Furthermore, I want to challenge myself. I can become a commanding researcher who can be of help to the Korean automotive industry.”
Keimyung has been operating a research student scholarship system through an agreement with Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group since 2004.
