The Department of Photography & Image Design held a special exhibition called Daegu Photo Beinnale 2008: ‘Day in the life of Daegu,’ and personal art exhibitions of professors were in the department from October 30 to November 16 in Geuk-jea Fine Art Gallery at Daemyeong campus.

In addition, invitation seminars were given by Groupe Novembre and others on October 30 a symposia was performed by Anthony Bennon, the curator of the Kodak Museum, and Yannis Kontos, a photographer, displayed his work in the Media Art Hall at Daemyeong campus.

Lee Jae-gil, an associate professor of the Department of Photography & Image Design said, “The 10th anniversary of the Department of photography & Image Design signifies the department got out of the first clumsy toddling and came to a mature state. In addition, we will try to cultivate talents eligible for global sensitivity through the introduction of a global education system.”

Furthermore, the alumni exhibition is to be held for seven days starting from December 18 in Geuk-jea Fine Art Gallery, and admission will be free of charge.
