On September 9, the International Education Center building was awarded a gold prize in the 17thDaegu Architecture Awards.

Out of twenty-two entries, six got a prize in this contest. The International Education Center received much praise for its efficient and functional design.

Lee Sung-ho, the head of Daegu Hyundai construction, which built the International Education Center, said, “The construction of the International Education Center is different in that it uses a curtain wall (a glass outside wall, which cuts out external noise). The building has two positive aspects in that it both harmonizes with the overall Keimyung campus and also has a distinctively modern construction.”
