Cultural Exchange in Keimyung

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature invited Jungbbojin (鄭伯勁), a popular Chinese landscape painter, to celebrate their 30th anniversary. It was the first time he has visited Korea.

Jungbbojin apprenticed under Ssunentong (孫恩同), regarded as the best artist in northern China in the late 1950s, and started drawing traditional Chinese landscapes. Later, he was also taught by famous artists such as Jangwinjin (張文俊),Juanglijin (莊利經), and Yaming in southern China. He is considered as a representative artist whose work encompasses both northern and southern Chinese styles.

His exhibition "The Seasons of Baekdu Mountain" was held in Daemyung campus from October 11 to 17. During this period, he explained his 200 works and demonstrated his art. It was a good chance to improve cultural exchange between Korea and China.
