Vice President of External Affairs


On March 1, President Synn appointed Professor Lee In-seon (Dept. of Food Science and Technology) the Vice President of External Affairs. The Office of External Affairs is composed of the External Affairs, International Affairs, and Public Relations teams. The vice president manages a lot of work including industry-academic cooperation and student employment. Lately, the role of External Affairs has become really important. President Synn selected a vice president of external affairs to promote more extensive external exchanges, like MOUs with companies.

Vice President Lee said, “Keimyung University has relationships with 230 universities and organizations from 43 countries. About 1300 foreign students are studying in Keimyung University through exchange programs.”

She added, “The local community and the university should develop together. The state of the local economy and local companies must be considered before designing industry-academic cooperation systems. If the industry-academic cooperation systems between local companies and the university are designed well, the industrial competition of Daegu-Gyeongbuk will grow strong.”

President Synn said, “The Vice President of External Affairs will make Keimyung University develop. Furthermore, she will contribute to the development of Daegu-Gyeongbuk.”
