University of Tsukuba

The university of Tsukuba is one of the most prestigious national universities in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. The university of Tsukuba consists of 9 school groups and 25 colleges. It consists of colleges such as the School of Humanities and Culture, the School of Social and International Studies, the School of Human Sciences, the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, and the School of Science and Engineering. Some departments, along with most Japanese-speaking departments, are offered in English to recruit international students. The departments that offer English classes include the Department of International Social Science, the Department of Biology, the Department of Biological Resources Science, the Department of Geological and Environmental Science, the Department of Convergence Engineering, and the Department of International Medicine. 
 
The university of Tsukuba also operates a MEXT scholarship and a Takase scholarship that provide 100,000 yen per month to international students attending the university in programs provided in English. This is a great opportunity for students since you can cover your living expenses with 100,000 yen a month. It is also good for international students to prepare well and apply early to reduce the burden of studying abroad.  
The university of Tsukuba offers support for students with various needs. For example, there are student support facilities for international students, as well as for students with disabilities and for LGBT+ students to respect and support student diversity. As part of the support, counseling services are operated to support the mental health of students. Telephone counseling is available 24 hours a day. 
 
The university of Tsukuba also has a lot of exchanges with foreign universities. The International Multiple Degree Program allows students to obtain multiple degrees from the university of Tsukuba and its partner universities. In addition, the Campus in Campus system allows students to take lectures from partner universities online or face-to-face at the university of Tsukuba, providing students with the opportunity to take lectures from foreign universities. 
 
In order to attend University of Tsukuba, applicants must meet the criteria for exchange students at University of Tsukuba set by Keimyung University. First, you must have been enrolled for at least two semesters at KMU. Second, your GPA at Keimyung University should be 3.0 or higher. Finally, language grade standards must be reached. For the University of Tsukuba, it must be TOEFL IBT 79 or IELTS 6.0 or higher or TOEIC 800 or higher.
