The original team of the musical ‘Chicago,’ which holds the record for the longest-running performance in Broadway history, will be performing in Daegu, South Korea, at the Keimyung University Keimyung Arts Center from the 25th of this month until September 3rd.

According to an arts planning spokesperson on the 16th, the original team performed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Broadway show; this performance in Daegu marks their first appearance in 6 years since 2017.

The musical ‘Chicago,’ which was initially brought to the stage by the legendary figure in the musical world, Bob Fosse, in 1975, was revived by director Walter Bobbie and choreographer Ann Reinking in 1996, solidifying its place as a legend of Broadway.

The story portrays the transformation of Velma Kelly, who murdered her husband and her unfaithful sister, and Roxie Hart, who became famous singers after killing her lover and being imprisoned for killing a government official.
