15th KMU Open University Program



The 15th KMU Open University Program was held at the Seongseo and Daemyung campuses of KMU from July 21 to 22. This program is an event for high school students to experience university life. KMU was the first to start a university experience program in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

There were about 1700 participants from 62 high schools. Most of the participants were second graders from Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. The program was composed of visits to various departments, meetings with professors and seniors, an introduction of KMU, and some special lectures about entering university.

Students who participated in this program visited some departments. In addition, participants got advice about entering university considering their aptitude and which subjects they are interested in.

Kang Mun-sik, the chief of admissions in KMU, said this program is benchmarked by other universities. Also, he stated that this program is a great program to plan students’ academic life.
