Paju Day Trip

1. Paju Book City: Get off at Eunseoggyo intersection bus stop

● Bookstore street, which includes Gwanginsa Street and Heodong Street

Gwanginsa street is named for the first publishing company, Gawanginsa which was established in 1884. Hoedong street is named after the name of first modern bookstore which opened in 1897.
● Treasure Island (a beautiful used bookstore)

People who travel to Paju Book City usually visit there. It is run by volunteers. You can purchase lots of new and used books at low prices. Besides books, you can buy CDs and LPs, too. If you don't want to buy and books, you can just hang out and read books there.
2. Heyri village: Take bus 2200 at Paju Book City and get off the bus at Heyri gate 1

● Ticket Office & Information Center

Go to ticket office near the entrance. If you buy a package ticket, you can look around the Heyri village and see the galleries and exhibitions. If you do not want to buy a package ticket, you can buy individual tickets for the place you want to visit. You can get around Heyri village using a map that you can buy at the ticket office. The price is 500 won. You don't need to purchase a map because there are a lot of signs, or you can download a map from the Heyri village website.
● Foresta Book Cafe

Foresta is the most famous book cafe. You can drink coffee, eat simple snacks, and rest in Foresta. Also, you can buy books at a discounted price. It is popular as a location for TV dramas because of the awesome interior with lots of books. Book House is the official name, but it is commonly known as Foresta.
●Museum of Modern History of Korea

·Admission: Adult 6000 won / Student 4000 won / Children 2500 won
·Hours: 09:30 AM - 06:00 PM (Closed every Monday)
·There are 3 floors form the basement to the third floor. You can see scenes from Korea's 20th century. This museum shows reproductions of various things from life, for example, schools, stores, and houses. It takes approximately one hour to see all of there.

★Tip
① There are three lines at Hapjeong Station exit 2. You have to stand in the first line.
② When you go back to Seoul, it takes a long time. Therefore you should check your other plans or transportation time.

·Directions: Take the subway to Hapjeong station in Seoul. Go out exit 2 and transfer to bus 2200.
