2024.04.15 09:00:00

On April 2nd, 2024, the inauguration ceremony for the 2024 student body and the welcoming concert for new students were held.

The event, organized by the 61st Student Council 'CODE', took place at the outdoor auditorium on the Seongseo Campus. This inauguration ceremony was arranged to inject vitality into university life and campus through reconciliation among student councils and communication with current students.

The event, which commenced at 7 p.m., was structured around a social gathering inspired by 'Arimi'. It began with a performance by students from the Taekwondo Department at Keimyung University. This event featured not only a Taekwondo demonstration but also a creative choreography performance centered on the theme of high school graduation.

During the inauguration ceremony, there were introductions of the student council, the General Club Union, the General Assembly and Standing Committees of the colleges, and the college student council presidents.
Lee Sung-yong, the Dean of Admissions at Keimyung University, expressed his support for the new beginning of freshmen by saying, "I hope that students, who have entered this new environment called university, achieve the goals they aspire to."

The event featured various prize events and dance performances by the dance club "BEAT", followed by performances from invited singers Heize and Homies.

During March and early April, freshmen experience a mixture of excitement and anxiety about new beginnings. The first semester of the freshman year in university marks the beginning of a new chapter and is a crucial period for shaping one's future. How freshmen spend this time can greatly influence the direction of their university life, so they prepare for this new beginning with many thoughts in mind.

Freshmen are curious about what student self-governing organizations are and what roles they play. This curiosity stems from an interest in expressing their opinions and participating in school life in a new school environment. Since student self-governing organizations are spaces where students' voices are heard and their opinions respected, many students are eager for the opportunity to voice their opinions through these organizations.
