The new Wireless LAN system was installed on Seongseo Campus this March. If you have a notebook, PDA, etc. and a wireless LAN card, you can use the Internet without charge on the campus except the Myunggyo Dormitory area and some border areas like the two stadiums on both sides of the main gate.

We had used Nespot wireless LAN. Students had a lot of complaints about Nespot. The speed of the Internet was not fast and the range of accessibility was not wide. But the biggest problem was that Internet use was not free of charge. LG-Notel, which took charge of wireless LAN construction, installed about 20 outdoor AP (Access Points) and gateways over the 410-acre campus. The previous wireless LAN hookup distance was about 50 to 200 meters, but the maximum distance of this new wireless LAN comes to 1km. Therefore, anyone who has a PDA or notebook with a wireless LAN card can use the Internet conveniently on the campus. Many Keimyung University students will be helped by getting much useful information including on-line education and academic and enrollment services with this wireless LAN.
