Keimyung University President Synn Ilhi has been an educator for 50 years. He received a Ph.D. in German literature from Princeton University in 1966. Afterwards, he spent time as a professor at the City University of New York for five years. When he came back to Korea, he became the first president of Keimyung University in 1978. His achievements are strict financial management and various nongovernmental diplomatic activities.
